The Metlakatla Wilderness Trail starts right on the edge of Metlakatla BC, only 7 km from Prince Rupert.
Catch the Metlakatla Ferry at the dock near Cow Bay, along the Atlin Promenade, headed towards Rotary Waterfront Park.
Trail hikers are responsible for keeping track of the time and ensuring they are at the dock for the ferry runs. Hikers that miss the ferry departing Metlakatla are responsible for paying for their own charter fee back to Prince Rupert if they miss the ferry.
